I’ve met enough sausage dogs to know one thing — they don’t fit into anything “standard.” Their low-rider shape makes regular dog coats either too short, too wide, or just plain awkward. So, after talking with local dachshund owners in Australia (and becoming part of the Port Macquarie dachshund crew myself), I decided to create a dog drying coat made just for dachshunds.
