Frequently Asked Questions
Yes — people use a few different names for this type of product, including dog robe, dog bathrobe, hooded dog towel, wearable dog towel, and dog towel coat. They’re all describing the same basic idea: a towel-style coat designed to dry your dog quickly while helping keep your home, car, and furniture cleaner. I call mine a dog drying coat because that’s exactly what it’s made to do — dry wet dogs fast and comfortably.
It works the same way as my dog towels, but better — because it stays in place and does the job for you. The microfibre towelling draws water straight out of your dog’s coat while they wear it, instead of just moving it around. Think of it as a hands-free drying system that keeps your dog clean and dry while you relax.
Yes — I’ve had lots of feedback saying these coats also help dogs settle after baths or during storms. The gentle pressure of the fabric creates a snug, reassuring feel, similar to an anxiety jacket, while still working as a dog drying robe. It’s a nice bonus I didn’t expect, but one I’m very happy to hear about.
Definitely. That’s actually one of the best times to use it. Pop it on before the drive home and it will soak up water while helping keep your seats dry. Around the house, it helps stop your dog shaking water everywhere and can also trap sand before it ends up through the car or furniture. The dedicated Dachshund fit also helps keep low bellies cleaner and drier.
There’s a size for every dog. The range includes nine sizes plus a dedicated dachshund collection to make sure every body shape is covered. Check the size chart on the product page — it shows back length and chest measurements so you can pick the perfect fit. If your dog’s in between sizes, go one up for extra coverage.
Yes — that was a big one for me when designing these. The robes fit snug but not tight, so dogs can walk, stretch, or nap without restriction. The adjustable belly strap and neckline make it easy to secure, and the fabric stays soft and flexible even when wet.
I stand by the construction and materials used for the robe — it’s the best on the market by far. Wash them on a low heat, tumble dry if you like (they fluff up nicely), and when they finally reach the end of their life, send them back to me through my Close the Loop program for recycling — you’ll get 15% off your next order.
Yes — I also make a dedicated Dachshund coat range designed for long backs, deep chests and the unique shape of sausage dogs. You can find it in my Dachshund collection.
