Hi, I’m Scott — and I know firsthand that “standard” dog sizing almost never works for Dachshunds.
That’s why I didn’t guess the measurements for this coat. I joined my local Dachshund group here in Port Macquarie and spent months measuring, adjusting, and testing the design on real Dachshunds and sausage dogs. The result is a Dachshund-specific drying coat that actually fits their long bodies and deep chests properly.
Designed for Long Bodies & Little Legs
Generic dog coats are usually too short through the back or too tight around the chest for Dachshunds. My Low-Rider design features extra body length from neck to tail, paired with a custom chest cut that sits neatly under their deep keel without dragging on the ground.
