Hi, I’m Scott — designer of the hooded towel. I make these in small limited-edition batches and ship them from Port Macquarie, NSW.
I designed this because, let’s face it, most hooded towels are cheap and nasty and not worth the money you pay. My changing robes are, simply put, the best you’ll find. They feature my exclusive Soul Surfer pattern and a reversible construction that gives your child two towels in one: a super fast-drying side for quick absorption, and a soft cotton weave side for comfort.

Woven Not Printed
Design
I spared nothing on the construction or materials for this range. The Soul Surfer pattern isn’t printed — it’s woven on a special loom using individual coloured threads. My perfectionism often wins over good business decisions and profits, but the result is a unique limited-edition hooded towel kids won’t want to take off.

The design of the hooded towel didn’t happen over night. I wanted the design to involve multiple elements. From past experiences, observations of the ocean and those we share it with. Take all this and combine them to produce a colour pallet that tells a story. I designed the hooded towel to be reversible to allow for expression but while being highly functionable and superior to the overpriced and cheaply made choices you have today in surf shops.

The soul surfer range has been designed with 3 things in mind - past, spirit and adventure.
The soul of the 60’s and 70’s drawing on the colours used in this era. While reflecting on the spiritual lessons learned from these times and now here in the present searching ones soul. Always seek out adventure and settle for sunsets with a friend.
Don’t worry I got your back. I spared nothing on the construction of these hooded towels. The Striped pattern alone is made from individual coloured cotton threads, each colour has to be woven together on a loom in order to produce the final striped pattern you see before you, this allows for a beautiful soft feel to the touch. On the flip side of that is a super absorbent microfibre that will suck that moisture off you in no time. All precisely stitched together leaving you with the best surf poncho you will probably ever buy.
